Hong Kong Tourist Guides — Attractions

Repulse bay Hong-Kong

A tram-trip to watch the Victoria Peak has become a romantic exploration. From the peak it's simply great to look down upon the Victoria Harbor, the business zone of Kowloon and the entire expanse of Hong Kong. Get a visitor.s pass for HK$ 50 and tour all the museums (including the Science Museum and the Space Museum).

Hiking in Ng Tung Chai is another wonderful experience. With four cascades at the backdrop its refreshing scenic beauty will keep you enchanted. It is rejuvenating especially in the sizzling noon of summer.

Those of you with a religious bent of mind, might be interested in seeing the Buddhist monasteries and shrines. Chinese nifty engineering is a particular appeal that will pull you to the temples even if you are not so keen on investigating the Buddhist culture. And, yes its peaceful out there too!

Down the years Hong Kong has maintained its indigenous culture despite being colonized by the British powers. A trip down to the Outlying Islands will make you feel the underlining Chinese pulse.

With a lot of caves in the Ninepin Group it becomes a sure pull. However, be careful about the time you are going, remember the cyclones?

Bride's Pool is characteristically a tourist.s zone. The place has a story to tell. It's about a juvenile woman who was forced to give up the man she loved, to marry someone else. Consequently, she executed her own life by jumping into the pool. Watch down the pool and in a sunny day you can catch the rainbow colors dancing in the ripples of the water down there.

If you have got more money to spend then make the Sampan tours of the Aberdeen Harbor. What more, you can dine out or have lunch in floating restaurants as well. Repulse Bay, on the southern side of the island is bustling with crowd at the weekends. So, if you want to party it's a place you can check out. The old Man Mo Temple, the Zoological & Botanical Gardens and the Central market place (with the fineries that colors your everyday fancy) are some of the other attractions of the island. A simple stroll along the Promenade (in East Tsim Sha Tsu) can be an extraordinary happening. The nights are sparkling and are a different experience than the amusement you get during the day. Better pack yourself with plenty of money more than your luggage because without it you will be putting yourself to an acid test of resistance to temptation (unless you are hoping to renounce the worldly pleasures).
