Southern India
Away from the bustling metropolis of the big cities, South India portrays a very different and an enchanting panorama of lush greenery, watery blue expanse and quiet solitude. Andhra Pradesh is famous for its fascinating charm, monuments, famous pearls and beautiful esplanade with serene lakes and beaches. You can visit Golconda Fort, which hitherto has wonderful shows of light and sound. The palaces are replete with Romanesque marble statues, glittering chandeliers and Nizam.s exquisite collection of antiques and paintings. The state symbol, Charminar is situated at the heart of the State and the temple of Simachalam is where peace, holiness and purity reign supreme. The third Southern state of Tamil Nadu boasts of its exquisite temples, exotic beaches and charming Hill Stations. Chennai, the capital can be your focal point to move about to the different destinations like Madurai, Thanjavur, Kanchipuram and Tiruchirapalli. Once you are in Karnataka, the fourth south Indian state you will find Mysore a slow humane town known for it.s silk and sandalwood. There is Gol Gumbaz, the largest single chambered structure in the world. The architecture is such that it amplifies the smallest sounds. You can just wake up to the buzz of the forests and soak in the sights of the antics of the wild animals and various sounds. A visit to Hampi is a must for travelers. Its famous ruins belonging to the erstwhile medieval Hindu Kingdom of Vijaynagar has been declared a World Heritage site. The temples of Hampi, its monolithic sculptures and monuments, attract the traveler because of their excellent workmanship.

Islands of India
As you trail your hands in the brilliant sparkling waters and watch the sapphire sky with wisps of golden lined white clouds and see the water changing from stunning blue to enchanting turquoise, you know you have reached the Paradise on Earth, Lakshadweep. Below is the translucent seawater and above stars sprinkled among the fluid blueness, curious holiday chatter and ardent admiration exclamations are what you witness when you cruise through Kavaratti and Kadmat. The magical waters are full of multicolored marine creatures. You can dive, snorkel and swim into the open seas and catch glimpses of rays, sharks, turtles and parrot fishes.

Andaman and Nicobar islands, another splendid beauty are an archipelago of many emerald green islands, islets and rocks. Tourists can go for trekking, snorkeling, scuba diving and island camping. Luxuriant mangroves makes the island, wreathed in magic transparent marine kingdom underneath the blue waters, a cool bracing breeze and home to species of wild Indian orchids make it a favorite spot among the tourists.

Northern India
Delhi is divided into two parts, Old and New. Delhi comprises a whole world all its own and manifests a blending of its glorious past and Hindu-Muslim heritage. The grandest of all sites include Red Fort. It was Shah Jahan.s seat of power and is constructed of red sandstone; it stands erect over the bustling city. The Jama Masjid, India.s biggest mosque; Qutab Minar, the tallest cylindrical building of the world, Humayun.s tomb, the Zoological Park, the Garden of Five senses mesmerizes the buzzing humanity all around. Other modern construction includes the Lotus Temple, the Parliament House, the Rastrapati Bhavan and the India Gate. A few kilometers from Delhi is Agra and here is situated one of the wonders of the modern world, the Taj Mahal. You are to be mesmerized by the sheer beauty and size of this mausoleum, which bears the testimony of a King.s love for his Queen. Other attractions in Agra include the Agra Fort, Fatehpur Sikri, Buland Darwaza and numerous garden and parks.

The Kullu and Kangra valley of Himachal Pradesh situated in the foothills of the Himalayas produces a riot of colors and act as a soothing balm to the soul. Mainly a land of mountains this state witnesses the frozen lake melting into warm water, the blossoms making the valleys blush and sleepy, serene sheds, provided by dark cedars. Shimla, too is a charming hamlet providing an enchanting maze of the erstwhile flavour of the British rule.

Haryana remains idyllic in daylight and evening light adds an ethereal finish to it. Amritsar is the main city and sites like golden temple, Jalianwala Bagh, Tower of Baba Atal, Akal Takht and central museum produce an array of fascinating places. A magnificent view of sun relaxing on the sites provides an awesome glaze to the lush verdant Punjab and Haryana.

Jammu and Kashmir present a surreal seascape. Kingfishers hung over the river plummeting feathers to pluck fish from the waters, the snows of Yusmarg and Gulmarg shimmering tantalizing in the full moon and shikaras moving in symphonic harmony, fishing and gathering water chestnuts in Wular lake are magnificent sites in Kashmir.

Western India
Rajasthan is a blend of culture, architecture, pilgrimage and beauty. Jaipur is famous for its age-old Jantar-Mantar, Hawa Mahal, Amber Fort and Sisodia Gardens. Udaipur, Ajmer, Chittorgarh, Jaisalmeer display a kaleidoscope of beautifully carved temple, gardens, lakes where chivalry and beauty merge together.

Daman and Diu are charming islands with Portugese leanings. It is a destination that all aspires for it is thick in action although untouched by it all. The peppery sands, the temperate climate, the still blue waters kissed by the melting pot of red sun, the exquisite culture .its all in one. The islands are picture perfect at any time.

Gujarat portrays lush greenery, wetlands inhabited by white flamingoes and salty plains. The dramatic Rann of Kutch is everything that explorers seek for. Dwarka is famous as a sacred town, rich in legend of Lord Krishna.

Goa is hedonist.s haven. Scuba diving and snorkeling and sunbathing in the different beaches of Goa makes your adrenalin run amock. Madhya Pradesh is in the heart of India. The magic of this place lies in its exquisitely carved temples, fortresses and amazing wildlife. The places like Khajuraho , Gwalior , Orcha , Ujjain and Bharathari caves are simply beautiful.

Maharastra has Mumbai and pune as its most happening cities. These are famous for its Afghan church, Crawford Acquarium, Nehru Science Centre, Chowpatthy Beach and National Defence Academy.

Eastern India
Eastern India comprises Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Orissa, Sikkim and West Bengal. High mountains and chilly misty air envelops the immense greenery of Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh. The Nandapha National park is a place of true wildness. Mizoram is a place with endless hills covered with gold dust and smoke rings from chimney and blue delectable hills.

Tripura with its famous spot Agartala has blue sky and greenery all around, a serene balm for every soul. The famous Bengal poet Rabindranath Tagore had associations with Tripura.

Assam has elaborate Raj-style tea gardens. Its history is replete with ancient monuments. The most enchanting get-away of North-East is Meghalaya.

West Bengal is famous for its metropolitan city Kolkata.
