White-water rafting, canoeing, water-ski, wind-surfing, diving and snorkeling are the popular adventure sports on the islands of eastern coast of this Country like Tioman Island, Pulau Kapas, Pulau Redang and the Perhentian Islands.

Motor Sports
Motor sports are popular and the country has The Sepang Ft Circuit just outside the Kuala Lumpur International Airport in Sepang with double-frontage main grandstand for 30000 spectators and natural stands can accommodate 100,000 spectators.

River Safaris and Cruises
River safaris and cruises offers scenic view and are available in Melaka, Kuala Berang in Terengganu, Taman Negara and Tasik Chini Lake in Pahang and Sarawak.

White Water Rafting
White water rafting is popular in Peninsular Malaysia and can be enjoyed in popular rafting places like Grade 2 Sungai Sungkai in Perak, Grade 3 Selangor River in Kuala Kubu Baru, Jeram Besu, Endau River and Lipis River in Pahang and Tembeling River in Taman Negara.

Paragliding using Para motors is a very popular adventurous sport and are practiced in windy places on the East Coast and along the beaches.

Angling
Malaysia is a gifted fishing destination with a number of freshwater and marine game fishing. Malaysian freshwater sport fish include the fast running Malaysian Jungle Perch, the ferocious Giant Snakehead, the Giant Feather back and the powerful Malaysian Mahseer, Black Marlin, Yellow-fin Tuna, Bigeye Tuna and Dogtooth.

Mountain Climbing
Mountain trails in Gunung Tangsi in Negeri Sembilan, Gunung Jerai in Kedah and Gunung Korbu in Perak are quite adventurous that gives a lovely view of the Malaysian landscape. Gunung Kinabalu in Sabah with 4093 m height, Gunung Gagau in Taman Negara and Gunung Tahan, the highest point in Peninsular Malaysia, are more challenging mountain climbing.

Bird Watching
There are a number of bird watching destinations in Malaysia that includes Kinabalu Park, Frasers Hill, Kuala Selangor, Taman Negara National Park in Pahang and Danum Valley. Malaysia has 640 species of birds including the migrated birds.

Shopping
Kota Baru is the best place to buy handicrafts and Langkawi is the place for electronics, jewelry and household goods. Shopping list can include batiks, silverwork, gold and silver brocade, local handicrafts, kites, pewter, brassware and carvings.

Dining
Malaysian food is spicy and coconut milk is the main ingredient in most of the Malay cusines. Malaysian seafood is excellent and other traditional dishes include rendang (beef, lamb and chicken in coconut milk), satay (skewered meat in peanut sauce), pulut (various sticky-rice concoctions cooked inside a banana leaf), ikan bilis (dried anchovies fried in a sauce and served with rice) and murtabak (crepes stuffed with egg, meat and vegetables). In the breakfast try roti canai (crepes) with either curry sauce or dahl (lentil sauce). Desserts range from the colorful nyonya kueh (traditional Chinese rice-flour confections) to the totally bizarre ais kacang (shaved ice sprinkled with gelatin cubes, colored syrups, condensed milk, corn and kidney beans). Malaysian tropical fruit are rambutan (similar to lychee), mangosteen and the infamous durian. Coffee and beer are quite good. Other than Malaysian cuisine you can also get Indian, Chinese, South African and French dishes.
