Taiwan Tourist Guides Attractions  With lots of activities buzzing around, there are still some special attractions awaiting your call. Coming into shape, the Museum of World Religions (at 7th floor, No. 236, Chungshan (Zhongshan) Road, Section 1 (6th and 7th floors of the Pacific Department Store, Taipei) has been envisioned by the Master Hsin-Tao. It opened only recently, in 2001. The museum includes a wide range of relics, covering almost all the major religions of the world; Hinduism, Shinto, Judaism, Taoism, Buddhism, Christianity, Islam, Sikhism and yes, there are also two gyratory exhibitions dedicated to antique belief and native religions. What is interesting is that the antiques are fashioned with the latest technology of multimedia. When you are done with the Museum what about a mood change? And there can no better place than Hsimenting. It.s the place for movies, celebrities and the latest fashion. What more, you might even try out .people watching.! Shilin Night Market is the biggest night market. You can have virtually anything and everything here, from foodstuff, clothes and other knick-knacks. Peace-lovers Sun Yatsen Memorial Hall is the place for you if you are peace loving. There are even happenings for you to walk around, some art exhibitions and yes, there.s a park too! National Central Library (at No. 20 Chungshan, Zhongshan South Road) has an extensive compilation, from English periodicals to Chinese books; you will have to make a difficult choice. Fine Arts Museum is an exclusive sight for people interested in Taiwanese art. Here you get to see creations of scores of artists all at once. Alishan (Ali Mountains) is a continuation of the Yushan Mountain Range. It embraces eighteen mountains, and now, you might ask what.s special about this mountain range? If sunrise, .sea of Clouds., twilight, woods, alpine railway and the native culture of Tsou aborigines, interest you, you will be fascinated to this place without any further questions! Kaohsiung (erstwhile Dagou) is Taiwan.s largest industrial center, an interesting place to visit in the southern part of the Island. Toroko gorge in the Toroko National Park is a spectacular marble canyon. It is dotted with red suspension bridges and the famous Eternal Spring Shrine. This shrine is dedicated to the 450 people who laid their lives constructing the cross-island highway that runs along the gorge. The south of Taiwan is adorned by Kenting National Park area. This has a quite and serene beach bordering the tropical region of the island. Abundance of tropical plants such as palm trees, banana trees and cane are naturally found. It is best explored by renting a bike, because of its accessible flat terrain Green Island is located just 33 kms off the coast of Taidong. It is a paradise cut off from the mainland with a host of attractions like seaside cliffs, coral reefs, seawater hot springs, grasslands and a wide variety of plant and animal life.
