Cycling
Recently tourists are going for long distance cycling, especially around the Mekong Delta due to the absence of heavy traffic around these regions.

Trails
Those interested in trails can go for a long walk along the Ho Chi Minh Trail by the North Vietnam. Also there are breath-taking river caves in Pong Nha. There are networks of tunnels at Cu Chi, from Saigon and Vinh Moc, near Vietnam's old border in the north and south. These places reflect the life of the villagers and the guerillas during the Vietnam War.

Trekking
With the growth of National parks people are becoming more interested in camping and hiking trips. The minority villages in the northwest, northeast and central highland regions give immense opportunity to the hikers. But trekkers should be prepared for the sudden fall of twilight, which is a common phenomenon in the south of Vietnam being equatorial regions.

Shopping
Varieties of items are found in the shop-lined streets of Vietnam, which can be overwhelming for the tourists, but since the prices are low, large number of visitors throngs along these market places. Also the hotel staffs help their guests to buy the specialty items like silk and embroidery. Hang Gai is the best place for such silk products. Other things like handicrafts and other decorative items are available too

Badminton and Soccer
Both are highly popular in the country. People can be seen playing badminton in the parks or watching their favorite team play a soccer match on television.

Golf
The exotic topography of Vietnam makes it an apt place for golf courses. Dalat Palace Golf Club and Ocean Dune Golf Club in Phan Thiet are the best golf courses in Vietnam. While Dalat is situated amongst cool misty mountains and greens; rolling dunes, sandy beach, and never ending sea breezes surround Ocean Dune. The serenity, calm and peace found in these places are great stimulants of mind and body.
